Paul Cronin is CFO of Shermen Holdings Inc. and Sherman Bank International (in formation), and a founding partner of Salmon Leap Capital Partners, a consulting firm focused on CFO services, financial institutions, and strategic initiatives. His work spans investment banking, capital raising, and real estate advisory. He built a successful 30+ year career in banking and financial services both regionally and internationally.
Alongside his business career, Paul has long been driven by a passion for service and community impact. He serves on several philanthropic boards supporting youth education, financial literacy, and Catholic causes. As a member of the Order of Malta he is dedicated to serving the poor and the sick. For the past two years, Paul has contributed countless hours to PEHT building furniture for the social enterprise, supporting survivors and working side by side with them at pop-ups, and most notably co-teaching financial literacy to all PEHT residential and shop survivors with Chris O'Brien. Originally from Ireland, he resides with his wife, Niamh, and family in Darien, CT.
Christopher J. O'Brien is the Founder and President of O’Brien Capital Advisors, Inc., and previously co-founded Endurance Partners, LLC. He served as President of US & Europe at Investcorp International, a global alternative asset firm. At Investcorp, he led many private equity acquisitions and developed the pioneering “Value Enhancement Model” one of the first U.S. strategies focused on strengthening underperforming middle-market companies through financial, operational, and strategic improvements.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Chris remains deeply dedicated to serving others and making a meaningful difference in his community. He is an active member of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, a Catholic lay organization devoted to caring for the sick and the poor. He is a Don Bosco Scholars Coach, mentoring first generation students through the complexities of the college application and financial aid process. At PEHT Chris works tirelessly with survivors in the shop, hosts milestone celebrations and contributes greatly as a co- instructor with Paul Cronin in PEHT” s Financial Literacy Program. Additionally, Chris formerly served as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Bucknell University. Chris resides in Greenwich with his wife Liz where they raised their two, now adult sons.
